Brahmastra Box Office: Film collections on Monday are bigger than first day of all Bollywood movies of 2022
After a humongous opening weekend, Brahmastra got into a settling down phase as Rs. 16 crores* (including the south versions) came in. The film has held on well with footfalls coming in well, especially in the 3D and IMAX versions. Also, the ticket prices are much lower on the weekdays, and they were in fact jacked up to a record high on Sunday.
Of course, a number closer to Rs. 18-20 crores range would have been much better as that would have demonstrated a stronger hold. That said, give the state that films at large have been for last 8-10 months, this is still impressive enough as it shows that there is appreciation coming in which is resulting in neutral audiences to walk in after the initial crowd has settled down.
Moreover, one must look at this in perspective that the fourth day of the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer is still higher than the first day of the biggest Bollywood opener so far, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. That film had collected Rs. 14.11 crores on its first day and here Brahmastra is over and above that on the fourth day, and that too after a tremendous weekend, which is an achievement in itself. One now just waits to see how much of a stranglehold does the film continue to have in weekdays to follow as that would decide the eventual lifetime.
