The Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra, which hit screens last week, has been doing rather well. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt the film that opened on a good note has seen its collections remain more or less stable over its first week running. Released across over 5000 screens in India Brahmastra which came with immense hopes and expectations has managed to live up to the same.
In this box office report, we look at the opening week collections of Brahmastra while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 170.20 cr Brahmastra has emerged as the second highest opening week grosser. Though unable to surpass the first week collections of the Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 that collected Rs. 268.63 cr, Brahmastra does manage to surpass other releases like RRR, which collected Rs. 101.49 cr, The Kashmir Files that collected Rs, 97.3 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which collected Rs. 92.05 cr, and even Gangubai Kathiawadi, which had collected Rs. 68.93 cr.
Currently Brahmastra continues to run in theatres with audience still patronizing the film. In fact, with certain locations seeing an increase in shows to accommodate audience demand, trade speculates that the business of Brahmastra will see further increase on its second weekend running.
