The Ayan Mukherji directorial Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor was released a week ago across over 5000 screens in India. After enjoying a massive spate of advance bookings, the film opened on a good note, surpassing trade expectations. In fact, after enjoying a money-spinning opening weekend, the business of Brahmastra continued to remain stable on weekdays as well.

Collecting Rs. 170.20 cr Brahmastra has emerged as Alia Bhatt’s highest opening week grosser. In fact, Brahmastra has managed to surpass her earlier releases like RRR which collected Rs. 101.49 cr, Gully Boy which collected Rs. 100.3 cr, Kalank which collected Rs. 73.7 cr, Badrinath Ki Dulhania which collected Rs. 73.66 cr, and even Gangubai Kathiawadi which had collected Rs. 68.93 cr.
Currently, Brahmastra continues to run in theatres, and with little to no competition from other releases, the business of the film is expected to grow further. In fact, trade predictions state that Brahmastra is likely to see a spike in collections over its second weekend, making it across the Rs. 200 cr mark.
