Karthikeya 2 Box Office: Lifetime collections of film are 436 times its opening day; sets new record
The Telugu film Karthikeya 2 which released a while back has been doing rather well. The Hindi version of the film which started off on a slow note has been seeing good growth at the box office. After drawing in just Rs. 0.07 cr on its opening day, Karthikeya 2 (Hindi) saw a 300% increase in collections of its second day clocking Rs. 0.28 cr at the box office. Following this, the third day business of the film saw a further 292.86% increase with Rs. 1.10 cr coming in.
Interestingly, over its first week running, the business of Karthikeya 2 continued to see sustained growth, ending its first week run with a collection of Rs. 5.75 cr. Now after five weeks at the box office, the total collections of Karthikeya 2 (Hindi) at the box office are pegged at Rs. 30.55 cr. With this the Telugu film seems to have set a new record of sorts. In fact, by the end of its theatrical run, Karthikeya 2 has seen its collections increase exponentially recording 436 times its opening day collections of Rs. 0.07 cr. This exponential increase is something that has till date never been seen at the box office.
Currently Karthikeya 2 still continues to find takes among the audience, with the film continuing to play in select locations. In fact, trade predictions state that though the film will continue its run, the overall business of the film will not be affect much.
