Pathaan Overseas Box Office: Film collects USD 25.40 million; emerges as Shah Rukh Khan’s all-time highest opened weekend grosser in overseas
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan, which released last week on January 25, has been doing staggering well at the box office. In fact, the Siddharth Anand directorial which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham has been raking in the moolah in both the domestic and international markets as well. Released across 2500 screens in the overseas markets, Pathaan has been shattering and re-establishing box office benchmarks with each day.
Now, after its five-day extended opening weekend, Pathaan has collected USD 25.40 million [Rs. 207 cr] at the overseas box office. Not surprisingly, with such immense collections, the film has emerged as Shah Rukh Khan’s all-time highest opening weekend grosser in the overseas market. In fact, Pathaan has managed to overshadow the actor’s previous releases like Dilwale, which collected USD 8.5 million, Raees, which collected USD 8.5 million, Chennai Express, which collected USD 8.25 million, and Happy New Year, which collected USD 8.1 million amongst others.
Currently, Pathaan continues to run to packed houses in both the domestic and international markets. Given the audience demand for the film, trade predictions state that the business of the film is likely to see an increase over the coming days. As of now, Pathaan is all set to surpass Dilwale, which had collected USD 25.6 million to emerge as Shah Rukh Khan’s all-time highest overseas grosser.
